The PS3 saw a huge jump, undoubtedly in part of the release of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete. Otherwise hardware sales are still stale all around in Japan. Also Deca Sporta 2 (Deca Sports or Sports Island) sold through over 9000 units its first week, another example of Wii games as ‘long tail’ sellers, especially after the media blitz, that were quick to doom the Wii on the first day ~2000 unit sales. Deca Sporta 2 was never thought of as a major release, but should do steady sales through its lifetime, and will be at least a million seller worldwide.
